| This is by far the best summer I've ever had.
Yesterday I went hiking with Cecelia, Josh and Patrick at Maryland Hights, which was pretty awesome. We went up up up a really steep hill for what felt like forever and ever, then stopped for lunch at the stone fort. I discovered that Pat is as scared of bees as I am, cuz he spent about the entire 30-45ish mins that we were sitting there running around like an idiot trying to kill a yellow jacket. Then we walked down to the huge rock ledge and climbed all the way out and sat there for a while. I really would have loved to throw Josh off the edge because he kept poking me with a stick. But that's ok. So after we actually got back down the mountain without me falling all the way down, we met up with Ryan. Well, we Tried to meet up with Ryan. He was kinda at the other end of town, and we were thinking the other was at totally different places. So once we actually found him we went and sat at the coffee mill for some nice ice cream and frozen lemonade. That entire time consisted of me and Josh flinging things at eachother, Josh throwing coins down me and Cecelia's shirts, Ryan dropping silverware down my shirt, and lots of tickling. After that we went and jumped in the river and had a fun time actually getting to the rocks and not getting swept away by the current. Still not sure what river we were in, or what state (had an argument about that with Ryan for about 15 mins). So once we were done getting our...uh...tans...and trying to get rid of Josh and Ryan's farmer tans, we went to Wings and had dinner and made s'mores. That was fun, cuz we kept lighting marshmellows on fire...at one point Cecelia was just talking until she realized that we were all laughing cuz her marshmellow was in flames. Then Cecy and Josh had to go home, so Ryan and I went home and changed into dry clothes, then went and saw Click. And I got home very late. The End.
Cecy leaves on the 29th, Josh leaves on the 16th, Ryan leaves for boot camp in November. Waah...already having separation anxiety.
| Oh. My. Gosh.
Switchfoot concert last night was...so much fun. Highlights of the evening:
1. Actually getting my hair to stay up in a way that would not fall out while I was busy jumping around and screaming.
2. Getting there, finding a place to sit, and then it starting to rain. Not just gentle rain, but pouring. We sat there on our blanket with the umbrella until my butt was soaked.
3. Getting off the blanket and trying to stay dry. It didn't work, Cecelia, Ana, Alex Greysen Jared and I all got soaked, along with everyone else. It poured for at Least an hour straight. I was decidedly cranky for the next half hour because I do Not like getting wet, muddy and grassy when I've had a terrible day at work.
4. The actual concert was AMAZING. Oh my gosh. Ooooh my gosh. Lots of screaming, jumping, all that jazz.
5. Seeing Greysen from across all the people jumping and waving his shirt around in the air, so we found him and joined him in the jumping and screaming.
6. Getting a piggy back ride from Greysen in all his swetty glory across the entire feild and parking lot. yay.
7. Running around the parking lot singing Save A Horse Ride A Cowboy.
It was a pretty awesome evening, haven't had that much fun since...the night before but before that, well, haven't had that much fun in a while

| after a horribly long, and somewhat embarrasing, few hours of registering for classes, I am finally enrolled as a Communications major. Ka-Chow.
yeah uhm, I didn't realize it but I have this tendancy to talk out loud when I'm trying to figure things out. so I'm sitting there at the computer trying to figure out my class schedule so that I get all the classes I want on the same days, at the right times. it's awful...so this guy was sitting next to me, and he just started laughing, so I turn around and go "What..." *frosty glare* and he's like "you've been talking out loud for about the past 45mins...and it's great, cuz now I know that you're an english major, that we'll be in the same english class, that you hate the stupid system, and that you're upset because someone is joining the marines, and you have to make dinner tonight." so I grabbed all my papers, and was like "go away" and he's like "well *peers over at my paper* Phoebe Goossens, I'll see you in english classes."
how annoying. other then that, nothing interesting happened, other then the one counseler I know kept running up behind me and yelling something weird into my ear, but that's ok.
